Nova TV is part of Nova Broadcasting Group, part of the Swedish media group MTG. The Diema channels – Diema, Diema 2 and Diema Family, Nova Sport, Nova Play, Eva magazine as well as the four pay-TV channels – TV 1000 Balkan, Viasat History, Viasat Explorer and Viasat Nature, also belong to Nova Broadcasting Group.
Nova TV's programme scheme features high-rating author's shows, hit series and programmes aimed to suit the interest of a wide spectrum of viewers – news, political shows, sports, culture, family and children's shows. Nova TV is a pioneer in the production of unique and worldknown formats in Bulgaria like the most successful TV game “Who Wants to Be Rich”, the first locally-produced reality show “Big Brother”, “The Island of Temptations”, “Extreme Makeover”, “Fear” as well as some of the Hollywood movie and TV series block-busters. The media was also first in shooting Bulgarian TV series with its productions "Hotel Bulgaria" and "Forbidden Love."
Irretrievable part of Nova TV’s corporate policy is the social commitment and support for projects of public importance. The charity editions of the game "Who Wants to Be Rich", the charity season of reality show VIP Brother, the charity show "Bailando – Stage of Dreams", as well as the series of concerts "For the Children of Bulgaria" and the football tournament "MTG United for Peace" are among the key socially responsible projects organised by Nova TV.
