Vedran Batos

Vedran Batos is Vice Rector for International Relations and Business Development and professor of e-business related subjects at University of Dubrovnik, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing,   as well as, a visiting professor, postgraduate study, at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at University of  Zagreb. He holds  B.Sc. in electrical engineering,  M.Sc. in electronics and Ph.D. in computer science, all degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Working in IT and Banking Industry, handling sales, marketing, business development, organizational and regional manager tasks. He was developing the new markets and extending the business for USA based companies in many Eastern European Countries i.e. Croatia, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, as well as, in the Middle East and India.   Keeping the board advisory roles at several IT companies in Central-Eastern Europe.  He started as engineer  at Hitachi Inc. (www.hitachi.com) in Germany;  he was Consulting and Sales Director at Euronet Worldwide Inc.  (www.euronetworldwide.com);  and Regional Director for Eastern Europe and the Middle East at Vision Solutions Inc. (www.visionsolutions.com). He established and managed several startup IT companies related to IBM Partnership and Banking Software. Having 25+ years of experience at institutions like Hitachi Inc., Euronet Worldwide Inc., and Vision Solutions Inc.
