Vasilis Koulolias has been working at the interface of technology and parliamentary democracy for almost two decades. In 1987, he set up Pythia Corp – developer of legislative information systems – which he ran as Chairman and CEO until the company was sold in 1998. During his tenure, Pythia Corp achieved several industry awards and accolades and featured in numerous publications including Bill Gates book “business at the speed of thought.”
In 2005, Vasilis founded Gov2u, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of ICT to promoting popular democratic processes and giving a voice to citizens to be involved in the decision making processes of their governments. In less than three years of its founding, Gov2u was placed by PoliticsOnline amongst the Top 10 most influential players in the field of Politics and the Internet. Gov2u now operates around the globe advising and assisting governments to modernize their legislative processes and enabling citizens to exercise their rights to democratic participation.
